/blog/ redirect now inplace

I’m a plonker.  The old site was hosted at www.mibgames.co.uk/blog

When I moved over to our own hosting system, I forgot that people may have bookmarked the old address, and I have over 1200 404’s for the /blog/ location.

Anyway, fixed quite simply by creating a .htaccess file and putting inside it the line

Redirect /blog http://www.mibgames.co.uk

.htaccess files control the Apache webserver and let it know how to do some special things, like ask for usernames and passwords, stuff like that.

The Redirect statement simply says to redirect anyurl that matches the left bit, to the same on the right.  It actually does a replacement, so in the case of my site, if you use /blog/?page=13 or something, it will be redirected to http://www.mibgames.co.uk/?page=13

Anyway, I should have done this months ago, if you find any broken links, or problems, let me know at mib at mibgames dot co dot uk
